Often referred to as an “old fashioned fat”, historically tallow was the primary fat used for cooking and frying thanks to its unusually high smoke point of 250 degrees, making it a healthy option for these cooking processes. While tallow, or beef fat, is naturally white the beautiful yellow hue in ours comes from the turmeric used in our beef bone broth recipe.
Infused with our signature broth flavour from the marrow, bones, vegetables and spices we use, our bone broth tallow is an excellent and sustainable cooking fat for frying and roasting and can be used as an alternative to coconut oil and butter. It is also a rare food source of Vitamin D & E.
Simply add a tablespoon to your roasting dish or frypan and use as you would any other cooking oil but with the addition of extra flavour and benefits!
