Our loaf contains the sprouted grains – wheat, spelt, barley, millet, and sprouted pulses – lentils and soybeans. The bread is very flavoursome with the lentils dominating the taste. The combination of grains and pulses creates a complete protein similar to that found in meat. The bread is a high source of protein and fibre and is easily digestible.

Pure Life – Organic Sprouted Khorasan
$12.93Khorasan is an ancient wheat grain believed to originate from the Fertile Crescent in the Middle East. When compared with common, modern day wheat, khorasan has a higher level of proteins and minerals such as zinc and selenium which are vital antioxidants nutrients. The grain itself is much larger than common wheat as about twice the size and is much lighter in colour. Our sprouted khorasan loaf is popular for its milk, slightly nutty flavour. It is perfect for those looking for a high energy food and is a great alternative for people sensitive to modern wheat. it contains gluten however some people with sensitivities can tolerate the gluten in khorasan.

$13.87Spelt is an ancient grain which originates from Fertile Crescent of the Middle East. Our sprout spelt loaf boasts a mildly sweet and nutty flavour. The grain is known for its many health benefits. It is highly water soluble which allows the body to easily absorb its high level of nutrients including, vitamin B2, niacin, manganese, thiamine, copper, and magnesium. The gluten in spelt has a lower level and different molecular make up than modern wheat. The grain is more fragile which, along with its high fibre content, makes it easy to digest. Some people who have an intolerance to wheat gluten, find that they are able to consume spelt with no ill effect.
