When compared with common, modern day wheat, khorasan has a higher level of proteins and minerals such as zinc and selenium which are vital antioxidants nutrients. The grain itself is much larger than common wheat as about twice the size and is much lighter in colour. Our sprouted khorasan loaf is popular for its milk, slightly nutty flavour. It is perfect for those looking for a high energy food and is a great alternative for people sensitive to modern wheat. it contains gluten however some people with sensitivities can tolerate the gluten in khorasan.

Pure Life – Organic Sprouted Spelt
$15.08Spelt is an ancient grain which originates from Fertile Crescent of the Middle East. Our sprout spelt loaf boasts a mildly sweet and nutty flavour. The grain is known for its many health benefits. It is highly water soluble which allows the body to easily absorb its high level of nutrients including, vitamin B2, niacin, manganese, thiamine, copper, and magnesium. The gluten in spelt has a lower level and different molecular make up than modern wheat. The grain is more fragile which, along with its high fibre content, makes it easy to digest. Some people who have an intolerance to wheat gluten, find that they are able to consume spelt with no ill effect.

Apiarists, Andrew and Moss produce and package their honey under the ‘Raw Honey’ brand at their ‘off-grid’ property in Marraweeney on the Strathbogie Tablelands in North East, Victoria. Their focus is on eucalypt honey varieties and their migratory apiaries spend each season journeying from river flats to mountain sides following the flowering cycles of the naturally occurring native flora. Always 5kms distant from potential contaminants, their certified organic bees spend their days in pristine environment of Victorias public land forests; the perfect back drop for a picnic lunch when tending to the bees. Andrew and Moss are managing around 500 beehives. Their certified organic raw honey is cold extracted and cold bottled to maintain the natural goodness and flavour of the product. RAW honey will crystallise at a fairly rapid rate; depending on the variety, some will set to a smooth creamy texture within weeks while others may take a few months.
