Price range: $9.33 through $15.13Quinoa (pronounced keen-wá) is a grain-like seed. It was already cultivated over 5000 years ago in the Andean region of Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Chile.
The Quinoa grain comes closer to meeting the genuine protein requirements of the human body than either cow’s milk or soybeans. It is high in the amino acid lysine, which is lacking in most common cereals. Quinoa is not a true cereal grain it can be eaten by people who suffer from cereal grain allergies. Quinoa in its natural state has a saponin coating that has a bitter taste. This has to be removed before eating. Luckily we take care of this process
We have now a more efficient cost effective dry method for our quinoa cleaning. Quinoa original which needed washing at home is now replaced as Quinoa (ready to use) for no extra cost. This Quinoa has a very low eco friendly carbon footprint.
Cooking quinoa is easy! simply add 1cup quinoa to 2 cups water to a pan. Bring to boil and let simmer for 10 minutes until water has disappeared. Be careful not to cook for too long or at too high temperature because the quinoa can be overcooked very easily which can cause it to burst.

Believing that fresh ingredients such as onion and parsley are always best fresh, we have provided the dry ingredients so that all that is required is to add water, a diced onion and parsley. This falafel can be shallow fried in the pan or fried traditionally in olive oil. It is also fantastic cooked on the BBQ.
Mount Zero – Organic Kalamata Olives – Pitted
$9.33Mount Zero Organic Kalamata olives are medium/large in size and picked black. They are firm in flesh, with a rich olive flavour. Kalamata olives are the classic table olive variety and are also fantastic in salads. Brine curing leaves these olives a dark burgundy colour and ensures the characteristic fruitiness of the Kalamata is preserved.
Mount Zero – Organic Pearled Farro
$9.13Pearled Farro has had its bran removed. It’s a great way to create Farotto – a risotto style dish – in a relatively short time and makes a great alternative to risotto rice.
No need to soak before cooking. Simply rinse, add to cold, salted water, bring to the boil and then simmer for a chewy, tender or soft texture. The choice is yours! Alternatively it can be cooked in a pressure cooker and rice cooker.
A great addition to summer salads, winter soups, casseroles, antipasti and even sweets.
