Barham Growers – Organic Rice Medium Grain Brown
$11.17Australian grown Certified Demeter Biodynamic rice from the Barham district in NSW. Brown rice is the whole grain with just the first outer layer (husk or hull) removed through milling. It still retains its fiber and the germ which contains many of the most vital nutrients. Medium grain rice has a higher starch content so makes stickier rice.
Biodynamic – Organic Rice Medium Grain White
$11.17Australian grown Certified Demeter Biodynamic rice from the Barham district in NSW. White rice is brown rice that has first been milled to take away the bran and much of the germ. This reduces the fiber and many nutrients. It is further polished to take away the remaining layer of germ (called the aleurone layer) which contains its essential oils.

With its rich aroma, Jasmine rice, which is native to Thailand, is also known as Thai fragrant rice. This long grain has a subtle sweet flavour, fluffy texture, and is super easy to prepare. Great in salads and stir-fries, or any dish you would usually use rice.

This Japanese-style short grain polished rice is cultivated for it’s ‘sticky’ texture, giving it the unique ability to bind together. It forms the backbone of various sushi dishes, including sushi rolls, balls and bowls. The subtle sweetness and chewy texture of white sushi rice is also great in salads and other Asian inspired dishes.
Demeter Bio-dynamic – Organic Rice Medium Brown Rainfed
$12.67Rainfed rice is grown and milled on the family-owned Slater Farm in Northern Rivers, NSW. Brett Slater, a local Bio-dynamic certified farmer with a passion for innovative sustainable farming moved to organic farming practices in 1998 and converted to Bio-dynamic growing in 2004. Brett grew his first crop of dryland rice in 2009. He then purchased and set up his own mill on the farm to produce an all-down-the line bio-dynamic grain.
